Narrative:
I flew into the san francisco class B airspace without approval. I got distraction while I was flying with a friend. My final altitude was planned to be 5500 ft MSL, and I knew I could not be at 5500 ft MSL until I was 6 NM on the 130 degree radial from woodside VOR. I knew I could climb to just below 4000 ft MSL over woodside, and I did, but then I continued to climb to 5500 ft MSL before the 6 NM mark I had planned. I estimated that I broke 4000 ft MSL at the 4-5 NM mark on the 130 degree radial. I realized this when I reached 5500 ft MSL, but by that time, I was past the 6 NM mark. Next time, I will insist that I will not be talking to passenger while I am flying near any airspace change (ie, under a class B, C, or D).
