Narrative:
On ord runway 14R, inside the FAF -- chstr -- tower stated commuter flight xyz, you are 3 NM behind a B757. Do you want to continue or go around? This was the first time we were informed we were behind a B757. My first officer had followed the target on the TCAS -- I was the PF. WX was 700 ft overcast 1.5 SM visibility with snow broken. I chose to go around. Second approach was uneventful.
