Narrative:
On feb/sat/03, I replaced #1 cabin pressure controller per the maintenance manual. I had trouble installing the controller into the rack and was distraction enough to omit the step to remove a cap from the ambient pressure port of the controller. This omission caused the cabin pressure to not pressurize the cabin resulting in mask down and an air turn back.

Title: AN AIRBUS 320 RETURNED TO THE FIELD DUE TO UNABLE TO PRESSURIZE CABIN. CAUSED BY CAPPED AMBIENT PRESSURE PORT ON THE PRESSURIZATION CTLR.
Narrative: ON FEB/SAT/03, I REPLACED #1 CABIN PRESSURE CTLR PER THE MAINT MANUAL. I HAD TROUBLE INSTALLING THE CTLR INTO THE RACK AND WAS DISTR ENOUGH TO OMIT THE STEP TO REMOVE A CAP FROM THE AMBIENT PRESSURE PORT OF THE CTLR.
