Narrative:
Problem arose with a logbook entry stating hydraulic brake indicator backgnd lighting inoperative. That night I put a hydraulic system indicator and not a hydraulic brake system indicator on aircraft. First of the indicators looked very much the same, only the color pressure bands on indicators are different with 1 indicator. Have printing on face in small letters saying hydraulic system pressure, the other with hydraulic brake pressure. On feb/fri/03 the flight crew wrote an entry stating hydraulic brake pressure gauge improperly installed and aircraft took 30 mins delay until proper gauge was installed. The cannon plugs that power the indicators will connect to either gauge and the gauges are on top of each other in cockpit.
