Narrative:
Captain reported rapid power loss in r-hand engine. He decided to make an emergency landing in slc to determine problem. No evacuate/evacuation was necessary. However, we were met by fire department engines. Deplaned normally. Captain said that, upon landing, r-hand engine was operating at 30%. Don't know what caused problem. Don't know how to prevent a recurrence.

Narrative: CAPT RPTED RAPID PWR LOSS IN R-HAND ENG. HE DECIDED TO MAKE AN EMER LNDG IN SLC TO DETERMINE PROB. NO EVAC WAS NECESSARY. HOWEVER, WE WERE MET BY FIRE DEPT ENGS. DEPLANED NORMALLY. CAPT SAID THAT, UPON LNDG, R-HAND ENG WAS OPERATING AT 30%. DON'T KNOW WHAT CAUSED PROB. DON'T KNOW HOW TO PREVENT A RECURRENCE.
