Narrative:

I was the first officer holding short of runway 19R at klas airport in nevada. The tower contacted us and advised that if we were ready for immediate takeoff, we could taxi across runway 19R and take off on runway 19L. I replied to the tower that we were ready for immediate takeoff, and there was no reply from the tower. Again, I replied that we were ready for takeoff, and again , no reply from the tower. We held short of runway 19R. Other aircraft replied that they could hear our xmissions. Xmissions from the tower were at times garbled and unreadable. The #2 radio antenna is on the top of the aircraft, thinking that might help the quality of xmissions between us and the tower, I switched to the #2 radio. After switching radios, I hear that 'aircraft X taxi into position and hold on runway 19R, then followed 'cleared for takeoff,' I replied 'aircraft X cleared for takeoff.
