Narrative:
Near midair collision with yellow high wing single engine cessna type aircraft. We were established on and cleared for the VOR DME-3 runway 16 at 23 DME and 8000 ft MSL. We followed the TCASII RA instructions to climb. We sighted the cessna as it passed below us approximately 300 ft. Sjd approach and tower were unaware of the VFR cessna flying in the approach corridor.

Narrative: NMAC WITH YELLOW HIGH WING SINGLE ENG CESSNA TYPE ACFT. WE WERE ESTABLISHED ON AND CLRED FOR THE VOR DME-3 RWY 16 AT 23 DME AND 8000 FT MSL. WE FOLLOWED THE TCASII RA INSTRUCTIONS TO CLB. WE SIGHTED THE CESSNA AS IT PASSED BELOW US APPROX 300 FT. SJD APCH AND TWR WERE UNAWARE OF THE VFR CESSNA FLYING IN THE APCH CORRIDOR.
