Narrative:
We were level at 17000 ft on the macey 2 arrival coming into atl. Center never gave us a crossing restr before handing us over to approach control. When we changed to approach control, we were too high for him to get us into atl, so we changed back to center. Center vectored us away from atl, turned us back around, gave a crossing restr of 250 KTS and 13000 ft at womac. We made that crossing restr, and went back to atl approach control for a normal lng. ZTL showed he had written the crossing restr on his strip, but apparently did not radio that restr to us by mistake.
