Narrative:
During cruise, 11 NM ssw of djb VOR, while level at FL280, we received a TCASII TA for traffic at 1:30 O'clock position and 4.5 NM, 800 ft below our altitude and climbing. We attempted, but were unable to acquire the traffic visually. TCASII then issued a 'climb' RA. We initiated a climb and informed ATC. TCASII then told us to 'monitor vertical speed.' we responded accordingly. When TCASII announced 'clear of conflict,' we notified ATC and returned to our previously assigned altitude.

Title: CL65 CREW RECEIVE A TCASII RA ALERT TO CLB WHILE FLYING AT FL280 UNDER ZAU CTL.
Narrative: DURING CRUISE, 11 NM SSW OF DJB VOR, WHILE LEVEL AT FL280, WE RECEIVED A TCASII TA FOR TFC AT 1:30 O'CLOCK POS AND 4.5 NM, 800 FT BELOW OUR ALT AND CLBING. WE ATTEMPTED, BUT WERE UNABLE TO ACQUIRE THE TFC VISUALLY. TCASII THEN ISSUED A 'CLB' RA. WE INITIATED A CLB AND INFORMED ATC. TCASII THEN TOLD US TO 'MONITOR VERT SPD.' WE RESPONDED ACCORDINGLY. WHEN TCASII ANNOUNCED 'CLR OF CONFLICT,' WE NOTIFIED ATC AND RETURNED TO OUR PREVIOUSLY ASSIGNED ALT.
