Narrative:
While performing repair on MD80's horizontal stabilizer hinge plates, it was brought to my attention by inspection that the wrong fasteners were installed. Upon further investigation, a discrepancy was found between repair document and srm chart 51-60, fastener substitution charts. My concern is what was done to the aircraft in the past.

Title: TECHNICIANS RPT NUMEROUS MD80 ACFT WERE RELEASED FOR SVC IN NON COMPLIANCE WITH THE WRONG FASTENERS INSTALLED ON THE HORIZ STABILIZER HINGE PLATES.
Narrative: WHILE PERFORMING REPAIR ON MD80'S HORIZ STAB HINGE PLATES, IT WAS BROUGHT TO MY ATTN BY INSPECTION THAT THE WRONG FASTENERS WERE INSTALLED. UPON FURTHER INVESTIGATION, A DISCREPANCY WAS FOUND BTWN REPAIR DOCUMENT AND SRM CHART 51-60, FASTENER SUBSTITUTION CHARTS. MY CONCERN IS WHAT WAS DONE TO THE ACFT IN THE PAST.
