Narrative:
The flight originated at fdk and was to be terminated at ofp. The route of flight was to be to okv to cjr to ofp. This route was to avoid the ADIZ area. Just short of okv, I turned direct to cjr via the 170 degree radial at the casanova VOR. Approximately 12 NM from cjr, a us customs helicopter intercepted me. We landed and they explained the violation. I was released to complete my flight and have contacted TRACON and the FSDO and am now waiting for a reply. No flight plan was filed, but the jyo FSS was consulted and the route was said to be outside the ADIZ area.
