Narrative:

This flight originated from N40 to miv via N87. En route to N87, we were to pass the town of princeton, we were aware of the control area, but might have been distracted while looking for the 1049 radio tower in the area, and inadvertently penetrated the ny mode C ADIZ veil. We were unaware of penetrating the veil until landing at miv and informed that we were required to contact the immigration department, which we did. In the future we will be more cognizant of our exact location.

Title: PLT OF VFR C172 ADVISED AFTER LNDG THAT HIS FLT PATH HAD PENETRATED THE NY ADIZ.

Narrative: THIS FLT ORIGINATED FROM N40 TO MIV VIA N87. ENRTE TO N87, WE WERE TO PASS THE TOWN OF PRINCETON, WE WERE AWARE OF THE CTL AREA, BUT MIGHT HAVE BEEN DISTRACTED WHILE LOOKING FOR THE 1049 RADIO TOWER IN THE AREA, AND INADVERTENTLY PENETRATED THE NY MODE C ADIZ VEIL. WE WERE UNAWARE OF PENETRATING THE VEIL UNTIL LNDG AT MIV AND INFORMED THAT WE WERE REQUIRED TO CONTACT THE IMMIGRATION DEPARTMENT, WHICH WE DID. IN THE FUTURE WE WILL BE MORE COGNIZANT OF OUR EXACT LOCATION.
