Narrative:
On 03/sun/03, I flew a training flight from pne to sby. While under flight plan, I asked the control center (dover or patuxent) whether the restr R-4006 area was in the use or not, and was assured by the controller that is was cold. After landing and taking off from sby, I flew VFR (enjoying the beautiful sites of the chesapeake bay on a sunny day) and crossed the northern tip of R-4006 en route to cambridge and then to easton towards the northwest on the eastern short of the chesapeake bay. I never entered R-4001 a or B, which were monitored with a GPS. I was not aware of the temporary flight restrs in the area. I maintained VFR, flying to modena VOR and then to pne using the washington sectional chart from 2.23.03. Upon arrival at pne, I was told by the tower to contact a pne control office. I was alerted of my violation and was told that I may get a call from the military, which I did not get.
