Narrative:
Denver tower put us into position and hold on runway 17R and had to situation for at least a couple mins. Tower then sent a landing aircraft around for aircraft on runway. After aircraft was climbing away, tower cleared us for takeoff. As soon as power was up to 40% N1 and started to push up to takeoff thrust, a regional jet crossed at taxiway ec after we had been cleared for takeoff. Aborted the takeoff due to aircraft crossing runway. Tower then asked if we needed any assistance. We said the reason for the abort was due to regional jet crossing the runway.

Title: A B737-300 FLT CREW ABORTS TKOF AS A CRJ CROSSED ACTIVE RWY.
Narrative: DENVER TWR PUT US INTO POS AND HOLD ON RWY 17R AND HAD TO SIT FOR AT LEAST A COUPLE MINS. TWR THEN SENT A LNDG ACFT AROUND FOR ACFT ON RWY. AFTER ACFT WAS CLBING AWAY, TWR CLRED US FOR TKOF. AS SOON AS PWR WAS UP TO 40% N1 AND STARTED TO PUSH UP TO TKOF THRUST, A REGIONAL JET CROSSED AT TXWY EC AFTER WE HAD BEEN CLRED FOR TKOF. ABORTED THE TKOF DUE TO ACFT XING RWY. TWR THEN ASKED IF WE NEEDED ANY ASSISTANCE. WE SAID THE REASON FOR THE ABORT WAS DUE TO REGIONAL JET XING THE RWY.
