Narrative:
Subsequent takeoff runway 17R received information of 25 KTS loss of wind on arriving aircraft to runway 17R and was at 135 KTS had a loss of approximately 10 KTS and a huge gust of right wind moving the nose gear at 125 KTS and full left rudder pedal and aileron and aborted immediately and exited runway 17R. Measured brake energy of at least 73 mins from chart, did not set brakes, called fire department for hot brakes. Fire department trucks followed us to gate to chock nose gear until maintenance could come out to guide us in due to lightning in area. Left main wheel was changed because of abort due to possibly replacing the same brake on that wheel and wind gust. In addition after exiting runway we received a report of windshear while on taxiway. So abort was due to windshear.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: A B737-300 FLT CREW EXPERIENCED WINDSHEAR ON TKOF AND ABORTED.
Narrative: SUBSEQUENT TKOF RWY 17R RECEIVED INFO OF 25 KTS LOSS OF WIND ON ARRIVING ACFT TO RWY 17R AND WAS AT 135 KTS HAD A LOSS OF APPROX 10 KTS AND A HUGE GUST OF R WIND MOVING THE NOSE GEAR AT 125 KTS AND FULL L RUDDER PEDAL AND AILERON AND ABORTED IMMEDIATELY AND EXITED RWY 17R. MEASURED BRAKE ENERGY OF AT LEAST 73 MINS FROM CHART, DID NOT SET BRAKES, CALLED FIRE DEPT FOR HOT BRAKES. FIRE DEPT TRUCKS FOLLOWED US TO GATE TO CHOCK NOSE GEAR UNTIL MAINT COULD COME OUT TO GUIDE US IN DUE TO LIGHTNING IN AREA. L MAIN WHEEL WAS CHANGED BECAUSE OF ABORT DUE TO POSSIBLY REPLACING THE SAME BRAKE ON THAT WHEEL AND WIND GUST. IN ADDITION AFTER EXITING RWY WE RECEIVED A RPT OF WINDSHEAR WHILE ON TXWY. SO ABORT WAS DUE TO WINDSHEAR.
