Narrative:
GPWS terrain warning over antenna farm on approach to san. We were IFR at the time. Requested vector for second approach. A second company flight on same frequency at the same time was on approach at same time, I think san approach may have had us mixed up.

Title: MD80 CREW EXECUTED A GPWS EMER ESCAPE MANEUVER WITH CLB UNTIL THE GPWS TERRAIN WARNING STOPPED. ACFT WAS AT THE MINIMUM VECTORING ALT AT THE TIME OF OCCURRENCE, IN IMC CONDITIONS, IN SCT CLASS B.
Narrative: GPWS TERRAIN WARNING OVER ANTENNA FARM ON APCH TO SAN. WE WERE IFR AT THE TIME. REQUESTED VECTOR FOR SECOND APCH. A SECOND COMPANY FLT ON SAME FREQ AT THE SAME TIME WAS ON APCH AT SAME TIME, I THINK SAN APCH MAY HAVE HAD US MIXED UP.
