Narrative:
Received telephone briefing (FAA) approximately XA30 local. Filed VFR flight plan XA35. Planned flight was business VFR flight from pwg to tyr, P49 tfr expansion 30 NM in effect at time of flight. Was told by FSS briefer that in-flight opening of VFR flight plan ok. Took off from pwg approximately XA50 (1200 transponder) -- immediately contacted act approach. Was told that I had violated tfr restrs. Was directed to proceed immediately to act and land. Interviewed by FAA and secret service. Received phone call from mr X (ft worth FSDO) later, same day, who confirmed that I had been misinformed by FSS personnel regarding authorization procedures. Mr X assured me that no disciplinary action against me would be taken. Also noted that act ATIS information only called for 'IFR or VFR flight plan on file.' it did not mention any need for authorization prior to takeoff -- suggested to act approach (via phone call) that they improve this message.
