Narrative:
Asked to speak to passenger by flight attendant #4. Flight attendant #4 discussed passenger's dog out of carrier. Passenger appeared to be intoxicated. I spoke with passenger about dog loose in cabin. She was very loud. Because we were mins away from descending, I told her that we would be landing soon and there would be no more drinks served. Because she was loud, I told her we would discuss it at dfw. As I walked off, she said '[derogatory racial remark].' I chose not to address the issue. But, she continued to speak out loud about '[racial remark].' I informed the captain. He called for officers. This was a very nasty incident and I've never felt so abused as I was on this day. I stayed professional, but I didn't really want to. I don't know how to prevent this. We can't gauge how many drinks a passenger has had before buying drinks on board. I'm sure alcohol contributed to the situation. No one should be allowed to abuse another -- racially or otherwise.
