Narrative:
While at the gate at dfw, I suspected aircraft was stuck on tailstand. At one point, the aircraft lurched nose up a few degrees, as if someone had forcibly removed the tailstand. Cargo sheet revealed 971 pounds in C1 and 730 pounds in C2. After moving 2 people from C to a in the cabin, I was in center of gravity, and the load manifest showed us within weight limits. I asked ground crew over the intercom if the plane was stuck on the tailstand. He said 'no, it came free.' I asked if they kicked it free, and he said no. After arriving in wichita falls, the ground personnel said they would perform an audit, but due to a 27 min quick turn, he wouldn't have results until I reached dfw. Having not received any information that any limits were exceeded, I departed for dfw. Upon arrival, I called sps and maintenance gave me a weight of C1 1482 pounds, and C2 727 pounds, which was 508 pounds more than dfw and exceeded ZFW ramp takeoff/landing, and C1 weight limitations, in addition to exceeding aft center of gravity. Maintenance and chief pilot's office were informed.

Title: AN SF340 IS OPERATED FROM BASE STATION WITH AN IMPROPER LOAD THAT EXCEEDED THE ACFT'S GROSS WT AND BORDERED ON IT'S CTR OF GRAVITY AT DFW, TX.
Narrative: WHILE AT THE GATE AT DFW, I SUSPECTED ACFT WAS STUCK ON TAILSTAND. AT ONE POINT, THE ACFT LURCHED NOSE UP A FEW DEGS, AS IF SOMEONE HAD FORCIBLY REMOVED THE TAILSTAND. CARGO SHEET REVEALED 971 LBS IN C1 AND 730 LBS IN C2. AFTER MOVING 2 PEOPLE FROM C TO A IN THE CABIN, I WAS IN CTR OF GRAVITY, AND THE LOAD MANIFEST SHOWED US WITHIN WT LIMITS. I ASKED GND CREW OVER THE INTERCOM IF THE PLANE WAS STUCK ON THE TAILSTAND. HE SAID 'NO, IT CAME FREE.' I ASKED IF THEY KICKED IT FREE, AND HE SAID NO. AFTER ARRIVING IN WICHITA FALLS, THE GND PERSONNEL SAID THEY WOULD PERFORM AN AUDIT, BUT DUE TO A 27 MIN QUICK TURN, HE WOULDN'T HAVE RESULTS UNTIL I REACHED DFW. HAVING NOT RECEIVED ANY INFO THAT ANY LIMITS WERE EXCEEDED, I DEPARTED FOR DFW. UPON ARR, I CALLED SPS AND MAINT GAVE ME A WT OF C1 1482 LBS, AND C2 727 LBS, WHICH WAS 508 LBS MORE THAN DFW AND EXCEEDED ZFW RAMP TKOF/LNDG, AND C1 WT LIMITATIONS, IN ADDITION TO EXCEEDING AFT CTR OF GRAVITY. MAINT AND CHIEF PLT'S OFFICE WERE INFORMED.
