Narrative:
On takeoff roll prior to 80 KTS, heard loud bang, followed by master warning and cargo fire light. Reject accomplished. So panel showed master warning and forward cargo fire light. Cargo fire forward checklist accomplished, followed by emergency evacuate/evacuation checklist. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated at 80 KTS the master warning and cargo compartment fire warning lights illuminated. The reporter said the cargo compartment fire extinguisher bottles were fired but the lights remained on. The reporter stated the cargo compartment checklist was accomplished and it, the checklist, stated that if the fire warning lights remained on, evacuate/evacuation the aircraft. The reporter said the evacuate/evacuation checklist was accomplished and injuries were incurred to the reporter and the captain on exiting the slide. The reporter stated no traces of fire or overheat were discovered in the compartment and the cause of the false warning has not been released by maintenance.
