Narrative:
The captain and I departed teb on runway 24. The SID says runway heading to 800 ft, right turn to 280 degrees, maintain 1500 ft till 4.5 DME then climb and maintain 2000 ft. Well, I'm not sure, but I think the captain climbed to 2000 ft about 1 - 1 1/2 too soon. As soon as we contacted departure, or at least as soon as we switched radios, departure said we had climbed too early. I think this is a direct result of the fact that part 91 allows pilots to fly 24 hours a day. We had both been awake at least 20 hours and had been waiting at the airport in the airplane for over 5 hours due to our passenger being delayed in downtown new york city.

Narrative: THE CAPT AND I DEPARTED TEB ON RWY 24. THE SID SAYS RWY HDG TO 800 FT, R TURN TO 280 DEGS, MAINTAIN 1500 FT TILL 4.5 DME THEN CLB AND MAINTAIN 2000 FT. WELL, I'M NOT SURE, BUT I THINK THE CAPT CLBED TO 2000 FT ABOUT 1 - 1 1/2 TOO SOON. AS SOON AS WE CONTACTED DEP, OR AT LEAST AS SOON AS WE SWITCHED RADIOS, DEP SAID WE HAD CLBED TOO EARLY. I THINK THIS IS A DIRECT RESULT OF THE FACT THAT PART 91 ALLOWS PLTS TO FLY 24 HRS A DAY.
