Narrative:
MEL states 1 flight attendant seat or position at door 1L and all at door 2L may be inoperative. I interpreted this to mean the seat assembly could be inoperative and deferred seat. Mechanic in ZZZ realized improper deferral and corrected. B737 MEL is confusing on this issue versus the airbus MEL. My primary fleet is airbus.

Title: A B737-300 WAS DISPATCHED IN NON COMPLIANCE WITH A CABIN ATTENDANT'S SEAT AT DOOR 1L DEFERRED AS INOP IN CONFLICT WITH THE MEL.
Narrative: MEL STATES 1 FLT ATTENDANT SEAT OR POS AT DOOR 1L AND ALL AT DOOR 2L MAY BE INOP. I INTERPED THIS TO MEAN THE SEAT ASSEMBLY COULD BE INOP AND DEFERRED SEAT. MECH IN ZZZ REALIZED IMPROPER DEFERRAL AND CORRECTED. B737 MEL IS CONFUSING ON THIS ISSUE VERSUS THE AIRBUS MEL. MY PRIMARY FLEET IS AIRBUS.
