Narrative:
After landing in msp, our gate was occupied. We were held in the runway 12L deice pad. When the gate opened, I called ground. She cleared us to the gate, 'but give way to exiting aircraft.' I read back, 'taxi to gate via taxiway P, give way to exiting aircraft.' we proceeded east on taxiway P. There was light rain in the area and dozens of aircraft on the ramp. Prior to crossing runway 4, I looked right and saw a B747-400 4000 ft down the runway accelerating toward our intersection. I told the captain to stop! Our nosewheel was on the hold short line as we watched the aircraft complete the takeoff roll and go airborne. Just as the aircraft passed, ground told us to stop. I replied, 'we did,' and she said 'you gave me a heart attack.' there were thunderstorms in the area, many rertes, and dozens of planes on the ramp. I believe ground control became saturated and lost control of our plane. I never heard a hold short restr nor did I repeat one back to ground.

Title: A DC9 FLT CREW IS CLRED TO THE GATE, BUT NOTICE A CONFLICT WITH DEPARTING TFC. THEY STOP THE ACFT JUST AT THE HOLD SHORT LINE.
Narrative: AFTER LNDG IN MSP, OUR GATE WAS OCCUPIED. WE WERE HELD IN THE RWY 12L DEICE PAD. WHEN THE GATE OPENED, I CALLED GND. SHE CLRED US TO THE GATE, 'BUT GIVE WAY TO EXITING ACFT.' I READ BACK, 'TAXI TO GATE VIA TXWY P, GIVE WAY TO EXITING ACFT.' WE PROCEEDED E ON TXWY P. THERE WAS LIGHT RAIN IN THE AREA AND DOZENS OF ACFT ON THE RAMP. PRIOR TO XING RWY 4, I LOOKED R AND SAW A B747-400 4000 FT DOWN THE RWY ACCELERATING TOWARD OUR INTXN. I TOLD THE CAPT TO STOP! OUR NOSEWHEEL WAS ON THE HOLD SHORT LINE AS WE WATCHED THE ACFT COMPLETE THE TKOF ROLL AND GO AIRBORNE. JUST AS THE ACFT PASSED, GND TOLD US TO STOP. I REPLIED, 'WE DID,' AND SHE SAID 'YOU GAVE ME A HEART ATTACK.' THERE WERE TSTMS IN THE AREA, MANY RERTES, AND DOZENS OF PLANES ON THE RAMP. I BELIEVE GND CTL BECAME SATURATED AND LOST CTL OF OUR PLANE. I NEVER HEARD A HOLD SHORT RESTR NOR DID I REPEAT ONE BACK TO GND.
