Narrative:
The flight attendants received a call from the captain during climb out that the flaps on the wings were stuck in the down position. We were going to return to ZZZ. He said that our landing would be very fast, hard and take a longer time to stop because of the flaps. It took us about 20 mins from that point to land. Our landing was just as the captain described. He did a great job and he kept us informed with several phone calls before landing. My biggest concern was this exact aircraft had the exact same problem the day before. The problem was worked on but obviously not fixed properly.
