Narrative:

Late departure, due to cabin cleaning. Passenger had an attitude with gate agents who advised passenger to cool his jets several times. He did, but on embarking aircraft, he started again with me over late departure. I advised him twice to cool it. Captain also advised of situation. I went to his seat. He was having intense argument with a woman traveling with him. I advised him again to clam down. He persisted with attitude. Captain and ground staff decided to remove passenger. Police did that. It was ascertained by agent's supervisor that he had been drinking. Passenger went off aircraft willingly with police. Flight was already delayed because of cleaning. Incident happened during boarding and was resolved before flight left gate.
