Narrative:
Landed at carmel valley airport. Did not know it was a closed airport. Airport identifer is 062. X's were quite worn and hard to notice, until flare. ATC was aware of my intentions. Landing and takeoff were uneventful. Property owner should repaint 'X's' to make them more noticeable. Sectional chart should say 'closed.' after incident, I did notice that it was a closed airport in airport facility directory.
