Narrative:
Was notified by the purser that we had an ill passenger using oxygen and was being seen by 2 doctors onboard. Contacted dispatch about possible diversion pending report from doctors. I received report from doctor concerning passenger's condition of a possible heart attack and that they recommended diversion. Relayed all medical information I had received to dispatch. Discussed options for diversion. At this time equal distance between slc and den. Decision made to divert to denver after considering time for diversion, facilities available, and aircraft status (overweight landing). After maximizing fuel burn without delaying landing, landed at denver on runway 7 at 206700 pounds (maximum landing weight 198000 pounds). Quick turn around weight also exceeded. Maintenance notified. After overweight landing inspection, 45 min wait for exceeding quick turn time, and maintenance items completed, the flight departed the gate for an uneventful flight to iad.
