Narrative:
On climb out contact was established with ama departure. I was asked if traffic in sight. I acknowledged positive identify on aircraft around 5000 ft MSL on our left in level flight, parallel our course. I was of the opinion this aircraft would continue sbound, and was not advised otherwise. We continued our climb, suddenly transport aircraft turns right, crossing our course. I start a descent and turn to the left, going behind transport jet. I was advised the distance to transport aircraft was 200 ft. Failure of ATC to advise of the flight path of our airplanes. We were never given an altitude limit or any other advisories, other than contact verification.
