Narrative:

Flew a standard left pattern for runway 9. Put flaps down on downwind. Pushed gear lever down on base but didn't check to see that gear light came on or if gear extended. I was distraction by a conversation with my passenger about looking for traffic and power settings. Landed gear up and then noticed I had only put the gear handle down 1/2 way to the detent. Very minimal damage to the rear 20 inches of keep strip. No other damage. Minimal damage was verified by an FAA inspector and a local mechanic (a&P). Just before the airport landing, I had done 4 water lndgs.
