Narrative:

On arrival into tampa via the brdge five arrival, a fix was not in the FMS. An approach was loaded into the FMS, so after the last fix on the arrival that was in the FMS the aircraft naved to the first fix on the approach. When loading this arrival into the FMS, I have learned in order to get the fixes jstrm and pie (st petersburg) to come up in the flight plan, an approach and runway must also be loaded. When the event occurred a runway had not been loaded. A procedure at our company is to review the flight plan. That procedure was done, but both the captain and I agreed it was correct. The captain and I were doing checklists and talking about the visual approach when approach control asked us where we were going. That's how we discovered the problem. To correct it we turned back towards the arrival, and finally received a vector for the approach.
