Narrative:

ZSE gave us clearance for the BONVL4 arrival to pdx and to cross bonvl at 10000 ft and 250 KTS. We were not given the altitude or airspeed restr until approximately 20-22 mi from the bonvl fix. Aircraft was descending from FL220 at 320 KTS. We advised ATC we would not be able to make the restrs due to the late clearance. ATC requested altitude restr at bonvl and deleted airspeed restr. At 15000 ft, we advised ATC we would not be able to make the altitude restr, and would they like for us to turn off course or could they give us relief on the altitude restr. Seattle's response was to contact pdx approach. Aircraft crossed bonvl at approximately 14000 ft and 320 KTS.
