Narrative:
I listened to AWOS and determined to land on runway 8. I was cleared to the visual and at 2600 ft, ZNY lost radar contact. I had the field in sight and cancelled IFR. I had the GPS runway 8 approach loaded and called on the unicom 128.8 over the final approach and then short final. I touched down on the numbers and went into beta when my wife said there is a plane headed at us. Windsock and AWOS both called for runway 8. On landing roll, I headed the plane off the runway, to my left and did fine until a drainage ditch came up 1/3 down the runway. The other plane was to touch down, but did a go around. He floated 50% down the runway, because of his tailwind. If I chose to go around, we would have impacted each other in the air. I asked the pilot after he landed on runway 26 'did you look at the windsock and why he did not hear my broadcasts on 128.8?' he could not satisfactorily answer either question.

Title: PAY2 PLT HAD TO STEER OFF RWY TO AVOID A COLLISION WITH AN ACFT LNDG IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION.
Narrative: I LISTENED TO AWOS AND DETERMINED TO LAND ON RWY 8. I WAS CLRED TO THE VISUAL AND AT 2600 FT, ZNY LOST RADAR CONTACT. I HAD THE FIELD IN SIGHT AND CANCELLED IFR. I HAD THE GPS RWY 8 APCH LOADED AND CALLED ON THE UNICOM 128.8 OVER THE FINAL APCH AND THEN SHORT FINAL. I TOUCHED DOWN ON THE NUMBERS AND WENT INTO BETA WHEN MY WIFE SAID THERE IS A PLANE HEADED AT US. WINDSOCK AND AWOS BOTH CALLED FOR RWY 8. ON LNDG ROLL, I HEADED THE PLANE OFF THE RWY, TO MY L AND DID FINE UNTIL A DRAINAGE DITCH CAME UP 1/3 DOWN THE RWY. THE OTHER PLANE WAS TO TOUCH DOWN, BUT DID A GAR. HE FLOATED 50% DOWN THE RWY, BECAUSE OF HIS TAILWIND. IF I CHOSE TO GO AROUND, WE WOULD HAVE IMPACTED EACH OTHER IN THE AIR. I ASKED THE PLT AFTER HE LANDED ON RWY 26 'DID YOU LOOK AT THE WINDSOCK AND WHY HE DID NOT HEAR MY BROADCASTS ON 128.8?' HE COULD NOT SATISFACTORILY ANSWER EITHER QUESTION.
