Narrative:
Aircraft abcd arrived in ZZZ with an inbound log item for the r-hand electric pump low pressure light and EICAS advisory message being displayed. I had the crew confirm that this was strictly an indication problem, and the pump was verified to be putting out the correct pressure. I deferred the low pressure light per MEL 2931G, which only covered the low pressure light and not the EICAS message. After my error was discovered, the system was repaired the following day. I have contacted operational engineering to have them update the MEL to state that the EICAS message must be operational when the low pressure light is being deferred.
