Narrative:
An unauthorized flight and landing into the dc ADIZ. The entry and landing were made without contacting ATC or filing a flight plan. I was asked to call potomac approach, which was done and the situation was explained. I believed the boundaries of the ADIZ followed the boundaries of the class B airspace, including layers indicated on the sectional. I did not realize the actual boundaries were from the ground to 18000 ft. The class B airspace was not entered as depicted on the sectional. Additional ground school training, from an instructor will be sought.
