Air Traffic Incident | Operational Error |
Narrative:
Controller intended to descent the MFD80 to FL350 and subsequently to FL330. He entered FL350 into data block but issued FL330 and did not catch the error even when the MD80 read back FL330. He noticed the MD80 descending below his intended FL350 and immediately climbed the flight back to FL350. He was working alone during light traffic.
