Narrative:
While in cruise after departing jfk we received a query message from dispatch as to our actual fob for release. Release fuel for this flight was 88.0. Actual FBO at departure was 88.1. The fuel received by dispatch and load was showing 85.9. This fuel load was apparently entered into the FMS/ACARS by the first officer while fueling was still in progress and not correctly updated at departure. When we verified the fob in accordance with the checklist we had the wrong page displayed. We were looking at the calculated fuel page and it showed 88.1. We assumed that this was the fuel load transmitted to loads. We were significantly below planned takeoff weight for departure due to a drop in passenger/cargo. We failed to pick up on the fuel discrepancy on the closeout. We took off at maximum power due to excessively strong gusty winds at jfk and the takeoff was not impacted in the data we use because of the fuel discrepancy. 2 contributing factors to this error were the first officer inputing a fuel load without being aware that fueling was still in progress, or being aware of the release fuel. Also, proficiency at using the FMS ACARS was lacking due to only occasional use of equipped aircraft.

Title: A B767 FLT CREW INADVERTENTLY ENTERED THE WRONG FUEL LOAD INTO THE FMS. THEY DIDN'T CATCH IT WHILE RUNNING THE CHKLIST DUE TO LOOKING AT THE WRONG PAGE ON THE FMS.
Narrative: WHILE IN CRUISE AFTER DEPARTING JFK WE RECEIVED A QUERY MESSAGE FROM DISPATCH AS TO OUR ACTUAL FOB FOR RELEASE. RELEASE FUEL FOR THIS FLT WAS 88.0. ACTUAL FBO AT DEP WAS 88.1. THE FUEL RECEIVED BY DISPATCH AND LOAD WAS SHOWING 85.9. THIS FUEL LOAD WAS APPARENTLY ENTERED INTO THE FMS/ACARS BY THE FO WHILE FUELING WAS STILL IN PROGRESS AND NOT CORRECTLY UPDATED AT DEP. WHEN WE VERIFIED THE FOB IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CHKLIST WE HAD THE WRONG PAGE DISPLAYED. WE WERE LOOKING AT THE CALCULATED FUEL PAGE AND IT SHOWED 88.1.
