Narrative:

Rod end (cessna part #0842120-1) failed on gear retraction which prevented the nose gear from fully extending and locking down upon extension. Confirmed nose gear problem with tower. After multiple attempts to lower the gear both manually and electrically, elected to land at ZZZ airport where repair facilities are available. Performed approach and landing in accordance with operator's manual with minimal damage to nose gear doors, pitot tube, nose cone and propeller blades. Damage minimized because engines were shut down and propellers feathered after touchdown prior to the nose settling to runway.
