Narrative:
En route to sfo, a passenger required the use of the therapeutic oxygen. We then entered the use of the oxygen bottle in the logbook and contacted sfo maintenance. On the ground in sfo, maintenance MEL'ed the oxygen bottle and put the MEL sticker on the oxygen bottle. We called sfo operations at the gate to let them know that we needed an amended release to reflect this new MEL. We didn't receive any amended release from operations nor from dispatch via ACARS by the time we pushed back, but we deiced to get the amended release on taxi out. We, however, forgot to give sfo a second call while taxiing out. After takeoff (we realized we hadn't received our amended release and we promptly contacted sfo operations. Sfo hadn't been contacted by dispatch and, thus, they assumed dispatch contacted us via ACARS for the amended release. We contacted maintenance control on the ground in psp to clarify the breakdown in communications.

Title: A B737 FO RPTED THAT HE AND THE CAPT DEPARTED SFO WITHOUT ALL THE REQUIRED PAPERWORK.
Narrative: ENRTE TO SFO, A PAX REQUIRED THE USE OF THE THERAPEUTIC OXYGEN. WE THEN ENTERED THE USE OF THE OXYGEN BOTTLE IN THE LOGBOOK AND CONTACTED SFO MAINT. ON THE GND IN SFO, MAINT MEL'ED THE OXYGEN BOTTLE AND PUT THE MEL STICKER ON THE OXYGEN BOTTLE. WE CALLED SFO OPS AT THE GATE TO LET THEM KNOW THAT WE NEEDED AN AMENDED RELEASE TO REFLECT THIS NEW MEL. WE DIDN'T RECEIVE ANY AMENDED RELEASE FROM OPS NOR FROM DISPATCH VIA ACARS BY THE TIME WE PUSHED BACK, BUT WE DEICED TO GET THE AMENDED RELEASE ON TAXI OUT. WE, HOWEVER, FORGOT TO GIVE SFO A SECOND CALL WHILE TAXIING OUT. AFTER TKOF (WE REALIZED WE HADN'T RECEIVED OUR AMENDED RELEASE AND WE PROMPTLY CONTACTED SFO OPS. SFO HADN'T BEEN CONTACTED BY DISPATCH AND, THUS, THEY ASSUMED DISPATCH CONTACTED US VIA ACARS FOR THE AMENDED RELEASE. WE CONTACTED MAINT CTL ON THE GND IN PSP TO CLARIFY THE BREAKDOWN IN COMS.
