Narrative:
I have flown beechjet 400A's for the past yr. This was my first tour in a new hawker 400XP. When I loaded the performance into the FMS, it read a bow that was lighter than a 400A. I asked the captain to check the weight and balance sheet. He did and confirmed it was correct. He actually read the bew instead of bow and we were over mgtow by approximately 600 pounds. I should have checked myself when I thought there was an error instead of relying on the captain to do it. Another factor was the brand new aircraft and type. I thought the factory had found a way to shave weight off the new airplane.
