Narrative:

#1 brake was at minimum tolerance 1/16 inch on the indicator. I failed to put on hydraulic pumps and set the brakes before checking tolerances. In the morning just before flight, one of the pilots noticed the brake out of tolerance and insisted that it be changed. The flight was 1 1/2 hours late. I hadn't read my check paperwork properly, leading to this problem.

Title: A B737-400 INCURRED A DELAY TO REPLACE #1 MAIN BRAKE WORN BEYOND LIMITS. BRAKE CHKED AT OVERNIGHT BUT FAILED TO CHK BRAKE WITH PRESSURE.

Narrative: #1 BRAKE WAS AT MINIMUM TOLERANCE 1/16 INCH ON THE INDICATOR. I FAILED TO PUT ON HYD PUMPS AND SET THE BRAKES BEFORE CHKING TOLERANCES. I HADN'T READ MY CHK PAPERWORK PROPERLY, LEADING TO THIS PROB.
