Narrative:
We were level at cruise at FL290. We were then cleared direct to pxt and the korry 2 arrival. Assuming we were cleared to descend via the korry 2, we started a slow descent. At FL285 the controller told us to go back up to FL290. We misunderstood the clearance initially. After a little discussion, we determined that we did not actually hear the controller say, 'descend via the korry 2.' in the future upon doing the korry STAR, we will listen for the ATC controller to say 'descend via the korry 2 arrival.' the altitude box that states 'descend via the korry 2 arrival' in the bottom r-hand side of the chart, should be written in bold letters.
