Narrative:
We were at miami airport -- spot 7N. Ground cleared us to taxi to runway 9L via taxiway P. From spot 7N there are no visible taxi signs for taxiway P. Although we were all familiar with miami's layout, due to construction immediately in front of spot 7N, temporary lighting, and darkness, it is not obvious at night where to join taxiway P. You finally see a lighted sign after you turn right and taxi a couple of hundred yards on taxiway P. A lighted sign, or any additional help in this location, would be very helpful.
