Narrative:
I was repositioning an aircraft from the hangars on the field to the local FBO. I was instructed to and read back that I would hold short of runway 9/27. When I got to that intersection, I failed to hold short. I did not know why I did not stop. It could be because so many times in the past I have been cleared all the way. Also, I was repositioning, not getting ready to fly. This also could have been a factor. At any rate, the conflict aircraft was rolling to a stop at least 2000 ft before we crossed paths. There was no accident. I can't believe I did this. I have been flying since 1991 with no incidents. I have certainly learned how important ATC instructions are.
