Narrative:
The aircraft was on approach to miami. The seat belt sign was illuminated less than 5 seconds prior to the incident. I was sitting in the #8 jump seat when the seat belt sign was turned on and captain announced we were 20 mins outside of miami. I told flight attendants #2 and #3 that I would do a walkthrough and I rose and turned to face aircraft l-hand side of cabin. At that moment, severe turbulence hit and I stated, 'forget that, I'm sitting down,' as I reached to the #2 jump seat, so as to allow flight attendant #2 safe access to #8 or #9 jump seat. Before I could touch #2 jump seat, the plane jolted and dropped tossing me into the air and causing me to hit the cabin ceiling before throwing me to the floor. Title: A B767 FLT ATTENDANT, ON APCH TO MIA, RPTED THAT TURB TWICE THREW HER TO THE CEILING CAUSING MULTIPLE BACK AND NECK INJURIES.
Narrative: THE ACFT WAS ON APCH TO MIAMI. THE SEAT BELT SIGN WAS ILLUMINATED LESS THAN 5 SECONDS PRIOR TO THE INCIDENT. I WAS SITTING IN THE #8 JUMP SEAT WHEN THE SEAT BELT SIGN WAS TURNED ON AND CAPT ANNOUNCED WE WERE 20 MINS OUTSIDE OF MIAMI.
