Narrative:
Upon arrival at gate in cyyz, line maintenance informed us of a left inboard tire blowout. Upon postflt inspection, this was confirmed. After maintenance did an inspection, left engine damage was confirmed. We received no indications on the taxi in that the tire had failed, nor that there was engine damage. We also contacted ground control about tire material that was possibly on runway 6L or the txwys.
