During climb to FL330, climbing through FL310, engine #2 low oil pressure light illuminated, and oil pressure decreased into the red arc. Referred to QRH and completed engine shutdown, declared emergency and requested direct to abq, about 80 mi away. Completed all checklist items and uneventful landing in abq. Maintenance found chip detector detached in engine cowling.
