Narrative:
During approach, we were unable to extend trailing edge flaps. Quick reference handbook used. Leading edge devices worked normally. Emergency was declared and equipment called for. Landing was uneventful. Ground crew inspected landing gear and brakes. All was normal. Taxied to the gate without further problems.

Title: A B737 FLT CREW IS UNABLE TO EXTEND THE TRAILING EDGE FLAPS ON APCH TO CYYC RESULTING IN AN EMER BEING DECLARED.
Narrative: DURING APCH, WE WERE UNABLE TO EXTEND TRAILING EDGE FLAPS. QUICK REFERENCE HANDBOOK USED. LEADING EDGE DEVICES WORKED NORMALLY. EMER WAS DECLARED AND EQUIP CALLED FOR. LNDG WAS UNEVENTFUL. GND CREW INSPECTED LNDG GEAR AND BRAKES. ALL WAS NORMAL. TAXIED TO THE GATE WITHOUT FURTHER PROBS.
