Narrative:
Inside the OM, descending to 580 ft minimum before the inner marker, received a low altitude warning from the tower asking that I check altitude immediately. Doing so, I noted and said to the tower that I was indicating 600 ft. The final approach was completed normally after the runway was sighted (and so reported to the tower, as requested). On the ground, it was determined that the altimeter setting was incorrect as compared to the ATIS in effect at the time of the approach, but the difference was relatively small. The altimeter and transponder will be checked for accuracy. The aircraft was last checked at its annual in feb/mar.

Title: OWD LCL CTLR ISSUES A LOW ALT WARNING TO A PLT FLYING AN IMC APCH INTO OWD, MA.
Narrative: INSIDE THE OM, DSNDING TO 580 FT MINIMUM BEFORE THE INNER MARKER, RECEIVED A LOW ALT WARNING FROM THE TWR ASKING THAT I CHK ALT IMMEDIATELY. DOING SO, I NOTED AND SAID TO THE TWR THAT I WAS INDICATING 600 FT. THE FINAL APCH WAS COMPLETED NORMALLY AFTER THE RWY WAS SIGHTED (AND SO RPTED TO THE TWR, AS REQUESTED). ON THE GND, IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE ALTIMETER SETTING WAS INCORRECT AS COMPARED TO THE ATIS IN EFFECT AT THE TIME OF THE APCH, BUT THE DIFFERENCE WAS RELATIVELY SMALL. THE ALTIMETER AND XPONDER WILL BE CHKED FOR ACCURACY. THE ACFT WAS LAST CHKED AT ITS ANNUAL IN FEB/MAR.
