Narrative:
Since I did not witness the event, I do not know what was actually said. However, after takeoff, I went back to talk with passenger and he told me that the (non revenue) flight attendant sitting next to him had 'no business telling him what to do.' (ie, he told him to bring his seat back to the upright position.) passenger then told non-revenue flight attendant to 'turn off your cell phone' and according to the passenger, the non-revenue flight attendant said 'I don't have to' and it escalated from there. My personal opinion is that it was 2 male-ego's. I feel that a flight attendant not working a flight has no business telling another passenger what to do. It just creates animosity. Other working flight attendants moved the non-revenue flight attendant to another seat before I got back there.
