Narrative:
Aircraft Y, ZZZ1 inbound to aus was assigned 9000 ft due to crossing VFR traffic at 8500 ft wbound. Aircraft X departing aus was assigned 8000 ft. When VFR traffic cleared, I assigned aircraft X 9000 ft. When pilot reported leaving 8000 ft for 9000 ft I told him to descend to 8000 ft and advised aircraft Y of traffic opposite direction at 8500 ft, descending 5 mi. Aircraft Y received an RA and descended. Radar data said 200 ft.

Title: AUS CTLR EXPERIENCED OPERROR WITH CLBING AND DSNDING OPPOSITE DIRECTION ACFT AT 9000 FT.
Narrative: ACFT Y, ZZZ1 INBOUND TO AUS WAS ASSIGNED 9000 FT DUE TO XING VFR TFC AT 8500 FT WBOUND. ACFT X DEPARTING AUS WAS ASSIGNED 8000 FT. WHEN VFR TFC CLRED, I ASSIGNED ACFT X 9000 FT. WHEN PLT RPTED LEAVING 8000 FT FOR 9000 FT I TOLD HIM TO DSND TO 8000 FT AND ADVISED ACFT Y OF TFC OPPOSITE DIRECTION AT 8500 FT, DSNDING 5 MI. ACFT Y RECEIVED AN RA AND DSNDED. RADAR DATA SAID 200 FT.
